Ginger being a medicinal herb, and also considered as spice in many recipes, has increasingly been used over the last few years, due to change in patterns of both recipes and appetite. We, according to some reports, import fresh ginger from China, India, Indonesia, and other origins. According to the ministry of agriculture, ARC, department of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, ginger is possible to plant in our weather conditions. As such, I recommend planting ginger, at least to cover part of the local demand, save hard currency used for importation, and if a successful progress is made in terms of quantity and quality, export chances will flourish.
